March 19 Rally to protest pension and benefit cuts!

As you know, school employees have been targeted by Governor Christie’s agenda. There are bills currently pending in the Assembly which could have a direct effect on your pension and benefits, including a mandate that you pay 1.5% of your gross salary toward health benefits. These bills will be brought before the legislature on March 18 and we believe the voting will take place on March 22. In response, the Passaic County office of NJEA and the Passaic County Education Association are holding a rally and informational picketing at four legislative offices in this county on Friday, March 19 right after school dismissal. We need you and your members to show your support! Bring your signs, wear your buttons and your Local’s tee shirts. Bring your Local’s banner. Bring your voices and show your support!
